Why the name CCAPlaygroundSolution?

Our success first came a little over 10 years ago when we developed a safe and effective wood coating solution to help playgrounds everywhere combat the harmful chemicals the pressure treated wood was exposing everyone to.

That harmful chemical is known as CCA (chromated copper arsenate) and was once a common ingredient in the most commonly used outdoor woods for things like playgrounds, park benches, decks, etc.

We created a very effective product called EPL Wood Coating for those playgrounds 10 + years ago and became known as the 'CCAPlaygroundSolution guys.'

We have since developed our EPL coatings wood product to be even more effective and even more beautiful when applied to all types of structures and woods.

One is good, two is better, and we generally believe three is the maximum. The third is most likely applied a couple years after the first two.

When it comes to playgrounds, decks or any other outdoor wood refinishing, oils and stains accomplish very little for surface problems. An oil or stain merely provides a superficial fix that will fail to improve feel and protection.

How much will EPL cost me?

To double coat (recommended to get the biggest bang for your buck) a 15' x 30' pressure-treated wood deck with rails and steps you would only need a 5-gallon pail. For playgrounds and other projects, call us for a recommendation.
