Did you know that composite surfaces are 'pock' marked with craters, which under slight magnification can be easily seen? The ingredient sawdust, contained within the filler, normally causes these craters. The composite surface traps all sorts of staining materials, such as dirt, water, mold spore and other substances. These materials cause the composite deck to lose the appearance it began with. Generally speaking, it is impossible to power wash these blotchy stains out of the composite material.

So, where's the real solution?

The healthiest thing you can do for your composite deck surface is to coat it with a colored composite deck stain like the ones offered here at EPL.

Recently, the owner of a composite deck contacted us to express his dissatisfaction with the unsightly stained look of his newer deck. These unsightly stains happened within year one of him owning his deck, so he was very much in need of an effective solution.
