What Is EPL?
EPL stands for Elastic Plastic that Lasts. These three features alone will change your view of outdoor wood, how long it can last and how beautiful it can be, when a premier wood coating is applied.
Elastic - our product will stretch with the wood.
Plastic - our product forms a clear, safe and glossy finish to prevent any direct contact with wood preservatives or splinters - it resists the tannins that are found in cedar and redwood.
Lasts - our product deposits a high molecular weight layer of polymer on your wood. Strength of the layer depends on a combination of molecular weight and thickness of the layer.
Our coating wood product is a translucent liquid that dries to your choice of a clear coating or a coating with chocolate or honey tints. Clear EPL preserves the natural look of your outdoor wood the best. The tinted versions of chocolate or honey can be used to create a more cohesive appearance for a weathered and aged deck.

EPL's groundbreaking technology originated from the vinyl flooring industry - an industry that has spent millions of dollars on research and development for flexible wear layers.
EPL's key property is its ability to expand and contract, which opens the door to a useable topcoat for outdoor wood - an ideal solution for playground and/or deck waterproofing.
Other topcoats for outdoor wood continue to fail miserably. When it comes to playground and deck coatings - stains and sealers consist of oils and pigments that soak directly into the wood, while paints consist of binder and pigment that simply lay on the surface of the wood. So, EPL learned what to do better and quickly stepped in as the industry leader.
EPL is a cross between these extremes in such a way that it will absorb deep into the wood while leaving a significant plastic protection on the surface. Wear layers from inferior vinyl floors vary from 1 year wear ratings to over 15 year wear ratings for thicker vinyl.
